¿Alguna vez ha reflexionado sobre sus propios hábitos o patrones alimentarios saludables y se ha preguntado cómo los desarrolló? ¿Fueron influenciados por la naturaleza o la crianza? ¡Éstos son algunos de mis patrones de alimentación!

Cuando veo a la gente comiendo grandes revueltos de verduras para el desayuno, me siento un poco mareado.

Eso no es lo que me despertaría ansiando.

¡Pero devoraría exactamente la misma mezcla para el almuerzo sin problema!
A menudo me he preguntado qué crea nuestros hábitos alimenticios.

¿Es la naturaleza o la crianza? ¿Nacemos con ciertas preferencias basadas en nuestra propia genética o metabolismo o nuestras normas culturales tienen la mayor influencia en nuestras preferencias?

Obviamente, los alimentos tradicionales y / o disponibles en diferentes partes del mundo también darán forma a lo que elija comer para cada comida. ¡Así que me imagino que es más enriquecedor que la naturaleza!
Mi cuerpo parece saber qué hora es porque mis antojos se encienden y apagan cuando el reloj marca cada hora.

Si pongo un plato de espaguetis en tu mesita de noche y te despierto a las 5 de la mañana, ¿te parece atractivo? ¡Probablemente no! Dirías «Um, estoy durmiendo, tal vez más tarde, pero tomaré un poco de café o té, por favor».

Pero a las 6 p.m., cuando es la hora de la cena, ¡los espaguetis suenan increíble!

Quiero dejar muy claro que estas no son reglas.

Me gusta bromear diciendo que participo en el ayuno intermitente: ¡dejo de comer antes de dormir, ayuno toda la noche y rompo el ayuno cuando me despierto!

Pero con toda seriedad, no creo que debas mirar un reloj o usar una señal externa para determinar qué o cuándo debes comer. Y definitivamente hay días en los que mi cuerpo anhela lo contrario de lo que normalmente lo haría (¡como el desayuno para la cena!)

La alimentación intuitiva lo alienta a seguir su hambre y antojos de comer lo que se siente correcto y natural en el momento. ¡Y eso es exactamente lo que estoy haciendo! (Echa un vistazo a la publicación de Anne sobre tener hambre de comida o de refrigerio).

Simplemente he notado un patrón y encuentro interesante observar mis hábitos alimenticios. Aquí es lo que son:

Desayuno

Me gusta tomar mi café antes del desayuno, no con. Y luego de comer, ¡ya no me interesa mucho el café!

¡No se siente como un desayuno sin fruta! Si estoy en algún lugar donde solo puedo comer tostadas o solo huevos, siento que mi comida no estaba completa. Solo una pequeña porción de fruta me deja satisfecho.

Verduras en batidos o los fines de semana en tortilla. ¡Eso es todo lo que puedo soportar!

Me gustan los lácteos o los huevos como proteína matutina. No soy loco por las carnes de desayuno.

Bocado matutino

Rara vez tengo hambre de un bocadillo por la mañana, no importa cuán grande o pequeño sea mi desayuno.

Si tomo un desayuno más pequeño, almuerzo temprano.
Almuerzo

El almuerzo puede incluir una fruta o verdura, pero sin una u otra no se siente completo.

Los almuerzos se sienten más completos con una gran ensalada. Si tengo un sándwich (incluso uno lleno de verduras), no me satisface ni me deja tan lleno.

¡Necesito comer carbohidratos en el almuerzo en forma de pan / galletas / almidones o tendré hambre toda la tarde!

Siempre anhelo un pequeño bocado de dulce para limpiar el paladar después del almuerzo, ya sea chocolate negro o algo afrutado. Si me ofrecieras un postre «grande» probablemente diría «no, gracias» con facilidad.

Bocadillo de la tarde

Si el almuerzo cumple los requisitos, rara vez tengo hambre hasta las 5 de la tarde.

Si el almuerzo es ligero, generalmente tengo hambre alrededor de las 3:30 y me gustan los bocadillos que vienen en forma de «puñado». ¡Demasiado más y aplastaré mi apetito para la cena!
Vino

Siempre estoy de humor para el vino a las 5:00. Mi impulso por un vaso es como una curva de campana que comienza a las 4:30 y termina a las 6. Si estoy ocupado o no tomo una copa durante esos momentos, no podría importarme menos tomar una. ¡Rara vez quiero beber algo después de haber comido mi último bocado!

Cena

¡Al contrario del desayuno, la cena sin verdura no se siente como una cena! Y, a diferencia del almuerzo, no me apetece nada la fruta en la cena (¡a menos que sea en ensalada o cocida, como piña asada!)
Postre

Me gusta comer postre justo después de la cena. Si espero más de una hora, realmente ya no lo quiero porque es demasiado cerca de la hora de acostarme para querer comer.
